Great news! Christopher Nolan’s movie ‘Oppenheimer’ has achieved amazing success in the film industry. The film has been winning awards left and right over the past few months, and it continued its winning streak at the 96th Academy Awards.

The Oscars 2024 took place on Monday at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. ‘Oppenheimer’ was nominated in a whopping 13 categories and came out victorious in seven, including the prestigious Best Picture and Best Director awards. The film explores the story of J. Robert Oppenheimer’s life, a physicist known as the “father of the atomic bomb,” who played a crucial role in the ‘Manhattan Project’ during World War II.

Cillian Murphy, from “Peaky Blinders,” snagged the Best Actor Oscar for his outstanding performance in the lead role, while Robert Downey Jr. won Best Supporting Actor. Despite tough competition from other notable films like ‘Barbie,’ ‘Killers of the Flower Moon,’ ‘Anatomy of a Fall,’ and ‘Maestro,’ ‘Oppenheimer,’ directed by Nolan, emerged triumphant.

Remarkably, this win marks Christopher Nolan’s first Oscar as a director, despite multiple nominations in the past. In his acceptance speech, Nolan expressed his gratitude, acknowledging the relatively short but impactful history of cinema and his meaningful role in it.

Cillian Murphy, in his speech, emphasized the importance of world peace, dedicating the award to those working towards it. Other notable wins included Jennifer Lem for Best Editor and Ludwig Göransson, who was nominated for Best Original Score.

‘Oppenheimer’ had a successful release in India last July, making waves at the box office despite some controversies. Prior to the Oscars, the film also secured seven awards at BAFTA and five at the Golden Globes, solidifying its place in the hearts of audiences worldwide.
